May 15, 2015

GREENVILLE, S.C. (May 15, 2015) – Today, Brasfield & Gorrie celebrated the topping out of the Aloft Greenville Downtown at ONE Greenville. The project team has placed the final concrete beam at the top of the new structure.

“This milestone is a testament to the hard work of the entire Aloft Greenville Downtown team, particularly the field personnel,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Senior Project Manager Jeremy Thompson. “Now that we’ve reached the building’s highest point, our team is focused on putting Aloft’s eye-catching features in place.”

The new 90,000 sq ft hotel is 12 stories and includes a parking deck with office and retail spaces around the perimeter. With the topping out, the structure has reached its full fourteen-story height, making it downtown’s newest high-rise. When the hotel is completed, it will feature 144 guest rooms, 2,600 sq ft of meeting and event space, an outdoor pool and dog walk and Aloft’s signature WXYZ Bar.

Developed by the City of Greenville, Hughes Development Corporation and McKibbon Hotel Group and designed by Winford Lindsay Architect and 4240 Architecture, this project, the third phase of the ONE Greenville development, is expected to be complete in late Fall 2015.
