Brasfield & Gorrie Receives Awards from Construction Organizations

Subcontractors Association of Alabama and Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama recognize company for industry leadership and excellence

Birmingham, Ala. (Sept. 30, 2013) — Brasfield & Gorrie is being recognized by two leading professional associations in Alabama for excellence and leadership in the construction industry.

The Subcontractors Association of Alabama (SubAla) has named Brasfield & Gorrie as General Contractor of the Year following a vote by the organization’s general membership. According to SubAla, the members selected Brasfield & Gorrie because of the company’s business practices and contributions to the industry.

Also, the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama (ABC) recently announced that five projects constructed by Brasfield & Gorrie will receive first place awards for excellence. The projects are Galveston Causeway Railroad Bridge Lift Span, Galveston, Texas; Main Exchange Replacement at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Baltimore, Md.; Princeton Baptist Hospital-East Expansion, Birmingham, Ala.; Redstone Missile Integration Facility, Huntsville, Ala.; and Samford University West Village Residence Hall, Birmingham, Ala.

Brasfield & Gorrie will be recognized as General Contractor of the Year by SubAla at a ceremony on Oct. 1 in Birmingham; and the company will be honored by the ABC at the annual Excellence Awards ceremony in Birmingham on Oct. 3.
