Brasfield & Gorrie Celebrates Fall Season with Charity Chili Cook-Off

September 27, 2013

Annual fundraiser includes tailgate and football toss competition to support Blue Skies Ministries

Atlanta, Ga. (Sept. 27, 2013) — Brasfield & Gorrie employees are kicking off their fall fundraising event with a chili cook-off, tailgate competition and football toss competition on Oct. 3, 2013.

Each fall, Brasfield & Gorrie’s Atlanta office hosts a fundraising event to benefit a local nonprofit organization. Funds raised this year will go to Blue Skies Ministries, which hosts weeklong retreats for families with children who have pediatric cancer. The mission of the organization is to offer activities that encourage and uplift the families of cancer patients.

“Our fall fundraiser is one of the most fun and anticipated events of the year for our office,” said Rob Taylor, Brasfield & Gorrie Region President. “Our employees get to enjoy friendly competition while supporting a worthwhile organization that serves so many local families affected by cancer.”

Over the past five years, the fall fundraiser has generated more than $500,000 for local charities. In previous years, the fundraiser has supported the Rally Foundation, No Longer Bound, Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Cobb County, Family Life Restoration Center, Atlanta Dream Center and United Way.

All Brasfield & Gorrie Atlanta subcontractors and vendors are invited to sponsor the event. There are three sponsorship levels including: Bronze ($500), Silver ($1,000) and Gold ($1,500). For more information on sponsoring or attending the event, contact Emily Cannon at [email protected].
