General contractor finishes new mixed-use apartment building in downtown Orlando

Orlando, Fla. (August 2, 2016) – Brasfield & Gorrie has completed the construction of The Sevens, a mixed-use apartment complex in the heart of Orlando’s North Quarter District.

The 360,000 sq ft building includes 333 luxury units and a seven-floor parking garage as well as 8,000 sq ft of retail space on the ground floor. The building’s exclusive amenities include a rooftop pool deck with a lounge and bar, a fitness center and a ninth-floor clubhouse featuring breathtaking views of the city’s skylines and Lake Concord. The Sevens features high-end finishes, from granite and quartz countertops to stainless steel appliances and balconies in select units.

Located on Orange Avenue, the 2.5-acre property is situated between Park Lake Street and Colonial Drive. Within walking distance to downtown, the apartments offer easy access to the I-4 interchanges and close proximity to the Sun Rail transportation system, adding to the area’s growing residential community.The-Sevens-2-web

The compact construction site in a busy downtown location required expert management throughout construction. The Brasfield & Gorrie construction team employed a number of techniques to overcome this challenge and minimize disruption to pedestrian and vehicular traffic within the surrounding areas of the project.

Serving as general contractor, Brasfield & Gorrie’s Orlando office partnered with developer and owner The Pizzuti Companies and architect Charlan Brock & Associates. The team broke ground on the property in 2014 and completed the project on schedule.
