Ribbon cutting ceremony marks completion of Jacksonville health facility expansion

Jacksonville, Fla. (Feb. 20, 2015) – Brasfield & Gorrie marked the completion of a $9.7 million expansion project at Wekiva Springs Center in Jacksonville, Florida, during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 19, 2015.

The 20,000 sq ft expansion added 60 patient beds to the behavioral health facility and also included a new 5,000 sq ft outpatient facility, dining renovation and site upgrades.

The project team utilized integrated lean project delivery, a collaborative delivery method designed to improve construction efficiency, risk management and predictability of cost and schedule.

Serving as general contractor, Brasfield & Gorrie teamed with Harvard Jolly Architecture, Vallencourt Construction, W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor Inc., Wal-Mark Contracting Group, In.design, McVeigh & Mangum Engineering Inc., Berg Electric, and The ReAlignment Group on this project for client UHS of Delaware.
