Tennessee Construction Organization Honors Brasfield & Gorrie for Excellence in Construction

Brasfield & Gorrie recognized by ABC Tennessee for excellence in construction

Nashville, Tenn. (Dec. 4, 2014) – Brasfield & Gorrie today announced that the company has been honored by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Greater Tennessee chapter.

The general contractor recently received two awards for excellence in construction during an awards ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.

Brasfield & Gorrie received a first-place Eagle award for its work on Resolute Health in New Braunfels, Texas. Located on a 56-acre greenfield site, this four-story, 364,000 sq ft hospital was completed on schedule in 2014. The facility achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Silver certification.

The company also received a merit award in recognition of its work on the Warren and Moore residential colleges at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Completed ahead of schedule in 2014, this $94 million construction project included two new residential colleges that house nearly 650 students. The 395,000 sq ft facility includes a centrally located student center and underground parking. The facility has earned LEED Gold certification.
