As part of Knoxville’s PACE10 program, Brasfield & Gorrie built six wastewater storage facilities: Upper First Creek, Lower First Creek, Walker Springs, Second Creek, Third Creek, and Lower Third Creek. All six were delivered through true construction management. Each of the sites provided unique geological and/or contamination challenges. Located at six different sites throughout Knoxville, these wastewater storage facilities serve as flow diversion structures, storage tanks, and pump stations. The storage tanks are cast-in-place or prestressed concrete with capacities ranging from 3 to 9 million gallons. The pump stations range in capacity from 13 to 14 million gallons per day. All projects included related site work, process equipment, piping, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
