This 1.2 MW power and cooling infrastructure upgrade in an existing 105,000 sq ft data center with two 40,000 sq ft data halls was completed in four months. Electrical upgrades consisted of installation of a 2 MW generator, a 1,200 kW uninterruptible power supply, main switchgear, automatic transfer switches, static transfer switches, and power distribution units. Mechanical upgrades included installation of a 400-ton air-cooled chiller and three 30-ton computer room air conditioning units. Brasfield & Gorrie also developed and implemented a new building automation system sequence of operations of the entire facility, completed five levels of commissioning, and maintained the facility’s LEED^® Silver certification.
