The design-build, pre-engineered Hanna Steel Mill expansion added 144,000 sq ft to the existing facility that was originally built in 1991. The additional manufacturing line connects to three sides (and three previous expansions) of the existing plant, requiring complex coordination to tie into the existing utilities and structures. The addition increases round and square tubing production capacity by 25 to 50 percent. The manufacturing line, finished product storage, and handling space contains six new overhead cranes.
