Brasfield & Gorrie Begins $30 Million Construction Projects in Greenville

Work begins on Aloft Hotel and new city parking garage

Greenville, S.C. (April 21, 2014) – Brasfield & Gorrie today announced the start of construction on two projects in downtown Greenville, S.C., totaling $30 million.

The general contractor recently began work on the Aloft Hotel, a seven-story, 144-room hotel with an amenity pool deck. Developed by McKibbon Hotel Group, the 90,100 sq ft hotel will be completed in late 2015.
The hotel will sit atop a new city parking garage, which is also being constructed by Brasfield & Gorrie. Developed by a partnership between the City of Greenville and Hughes Development Corporation, the seven-story, cast-in-place parking deck will be completed in 2015 and will feature more than 470 parking spaces.

Serving as general contractor, Brasfield & Gorrie is teaming with architect Winford Lindsay on both of these projects. 4240 Architecture Inc. served as the design architect.
