The Florida Ballpark at McKethan Field project consisted of development of 13.6 acres for a new baseball facility and construction of a 141,470 sq ft baseball stadium. Accommodating an overall capacity of 7,000 people with more than 3,400 permanent chairback seats, the new baseball facility includes a 360-degree open concourse that will provide constant field views for fans, public restrooms, a first aid room, concession stands, retail sales, an entry lobby, baseball administration space, locker rooms, a recruiting lounge, a film/media/meeting room, training/sports medicine space, equipment/laundry rooms, the playing field, bullpens, dugout/support areas, a press box and scoreboard, and vertical circulation. The scope of work included roadwork and 450 to 500 parking spaces. The training areas feature four indoor hitting cages, two indoor pitching tunnels, a full-size artificial turf infield, hydrotherapy, and a 1,400 sq ft player lounge, featuring a Gatorade nutrition station.
