We built this multipurpose arena over an aggressive two-year schedule to rehome GSU Athletics from its 50-year-old predecessor. The arena includes concessions, classrooms, sports medicine facilities, and upgraded video boards. It also serves as a ceremony, tournament, and concert space home to special events that enhance student life. Despite 4,000 cu yd of unexpected debris from a 1970s detention center found during excavation and procurement challenges throughout, we used careful mitigations to deliver on time.
