GREENVILLE, South Carolina – Brasfield & Gorrie announced today that it has begun construction on Falls Tower, a mixed-use facility within the Camperdown development. The 17-story building will include seven floors of office space, accounting for 196,092 sq ft. The building will also include 33,231 sq ft of retail/restaurant space, one floor of conference space, and 18 condominium units on the top five stories of the building. The building’s residents will have access to private garage units at ground level.
“The Camperdown development continues to shape Greenville’s skyline,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Vice President and Division Manager Ben Barfield. “This important development will bring new opportunities to the city’s downtown, thanks in part to the partnership we have with Centennial American Properties and the city of Greenville.”
“Falls Tower is a key part of Camperdown, as it will activate the space with energy and show off Greenville’s pride and joy,” said Centennial American Properties President Brody Glenn. “Residents will enjoy outdoor entertaining along with stunning scenic views of Falls Park and Liberty Bridge. Retail and restaurants on the ground floor of the building will spark foot traffic and encourage visitors to enjoy the new Camperdown plaza, which will be the largest open space in downtown Greenville. The start of construction on Falls Tower is a key milestone for the partners invested in this development from Centennial American Properties to Brasfield & Gorrie and WCM Global Wealth.”
The general contractor is also working with developer Centennial American Properties on other components of this mixed-use development, including a recently completed 629-space parking deck that will service the entire Camperdown project. Brasfield & Gorrie recently topped out luxury apartments at Camperdown, which are being developed by Daniel.
Brasfield & Gorrie is collaborating with architect Wakefield Beasley & Associates on Falls Tower, which is slated for completion in 2020.
