Falls Tower Reaches Completion in Camperdown
December 17, 2020
Brasfield & Gorrie, together with Centennial American Properties and WCM Global Wealth Management, recently completed the construction of Falls Tower, a mixed-use facility that is the final parcel to be built within the Camperdown development.
The 17-story building will forever change the skyline of downtown Greenville and the backdrop of Liberty Bridge photos for locals and tourists. The building includes seven floors of office space, accounting for 196,092 sq ft. The building also includes 33,231 sq ft of retail/restaurant space, one floor of conference space, and 18 condominium units on the top five stories of the building. The building’s residents have access to private garage units at the ground level and an amenity terrace on the ninth floor. The building also includes a pedestrian bridge that provides connectivity from the plaza to a new stair and elevator that service an existing deck and the new riverscape project.
“The hard work of our employees and trade partners, as well as the partnership of Centennial American Properties, WCM Global Wealth Management and the city of Greenville, made this successful completion possible,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Vice President and Division Manager Ben Barfield. “Falls Tower will encourage new business opportunities in the city’s downtown and contribute to Greenville’s vibrant community.”
The general contractor also worked with developer Centennial American Properties on other components of this mixed-use development, including a 629-space parking deck that services the entire Camperdown project, the Deca Camperdown residential tower, and the plaza, retail storefronts, streetscapes and riverscapes projects.
“Brasfield & Gorrie has been a true partner in every sense of the word for this entire development,” said Centennial American Properties President Brody Glenn. “No matter the issue, the Brasfield & Gorrie team has been open-minded about how to solve it so that we could collectively create the best outcome for everyone. Brasfield & Gorrie has been one of the key contributors to the success of Camperdown.”
Brasfield & Gorrie collaborated with architect NELSON, formerly Wakefield Beasley & Associates, on Falls Tower.
Brasfield & Gorrie has worked in Greenville for more than 30 years and opened a full-service, brick and mortar office in the ONE building in 2013. The general contractor has worked on nearly 60 projects valued at more than $435 million in the City of Greenville.
