Construction is complete on AUBix’s leading-edge data center in Auburn, Alabama, increasing the technology infrastructure in this part of the state. Brasfield & Gorrie was the project’s general contractor.

“Brasfield & Gorrie completed the construction of the AUBix data center on time and in budget, delivering the high-quality facility required to house a data center able to withstand Category 4 winds,” said CEO and Co-Founder Andrew Albrecht. “From providing input on the initial design through the final finishing details, the Brasfield & Gorrie team was helpful, professional and a true pleasure to work with.”

The one-story, 40,000 sq ft greenfield data center is located on a six-acre site. The facility includes two 10,000 sq ft data halls, which will support up to 2 megawatts of IT load each. The building’s structure and veneer are precast concrete. The general contractor has completed more than $2.8 billion of mission-critical projects, accounting for 8 million sq ft of work.

“Brasfield & Gorrie is dedicated to building strong communities everywhere we work. AUBix and Advocate Management Partners are strengthening Auburn and its surrounding areas with this investment in technology, and we are honored to partner on this important project,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Vice President and Division Manager Dustin Smith.
