In 2016, Brasfield & Gorrie built the NASA Space Launch System (SLS) Test Stands at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. It included the construction of two steel test stands for structural testing of the liquid hydrogen tank and liquid oxygen tank to be used on the SLS. The test stands are made up of more than 5,200 cubic yards of concrete and more than 5,100 tons of structural steel.

That work has supported Artemis II, a mission taking astronauts into deep space and bringing us closer to returning to the Moon. We’re honored to have played a small part in this historic journey.
