Introducing the 7 Commitments

How we show up for work matters.
The 7 Commitments define the kind of mindset that’s guided us for years: ownership, discipline, truth, and teamwork. These actions describe what it means to be in the arena, setting clear expectations and keeping us accountable for how we show up every day.
#1: We not me.
Put the team first. Be a great teammate. Work hard, stay humble, celebrate successes together, and lift others along the way.
#2: Own your role.
Take full responsibility for your work. Know your job inside and out. Be prepared, be on time, and anticipate what’s needed. If it’s yours to do—own it.
#3: Do one more thing.
Go the extra mile. Sweat the small stuff. Take pride in getting your hands dirty and making hard things look easy.
#4: Think and learn.
Stay curious. Think before reacting. Ask good questions. Learn continuously—about your job, the industry, and yourself. Staying the same isn’t an option.
#5: Make it better.
Refuse to be complacent. Be resilient, adaptable, and forward-thinking, always passionate about what we do and how to make B&G better.
#6: Speak the truth.
Be honest. Communicate with respect, even when it’s hard. Build trust through transparency. Don’t fear the truth—seek it.
#7: Train your replacement.
Share what you know. Build others up. Grow by teaching. Lead by serving. Leave a legacy by building the next generation.
The 7 Commitments are the building blocks of success at Brasfield & Gorrie. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being deliberate enough that what you are building – whether it’s a project, a relationship, or a career – actually means something.
