Plant Hammond Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization

Before it was retired in 2019, Plant Hammond provided electricity to citizens of Georgia through four coal-fired units capable of producing up to 800 MW. For the plant’s desulphurization project, Brasfield & Gorrie installed concrete foundations, embedded electrical, site grading, site paving, storm piping, and epoxy linings. This build was big win for our self-perform capabilities, as our in-house craft workers handled 80 percent of the work, finishing on time and under budget.
