In Aiken County, South Carolina, we are constructing an expansion at the Horse Creek Pollution Control Facility. Our crew is self-performing 11,000 cu yd of concrete, more than 92,000 ft of process piping, and the equipment at the facility. The project includes three new oxidation ditches and improvements to the headworks, pump stations, clarifiers, and generator facilities.

After being in constant use since 1980, the Horse Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant needed a major overhaul to continue serving the residents of Aiken County, South Carolina. Brasfield & Gorrie came in and served as the construction manager-at-risk for this expansion, which increased the facility’s capacity from 20 to 26 million gallons per day. Our team moved more than 110,000 cu yds of earthwork all in all, and the project went on to receive awards at the state and national level.
