Modern Healthcare names Brasfield & Gorrie the nation’s top general contractor for healthcare construction

Brasfield & Gorrie has returned to the top of a key Modern Healthcare magazine ranking. The publication ranked Brasfield & Gorrie as the No. 1 general contractor in healthcare construction, based on 2024 volume. The magazine surveys construction and design companies annually, and Brasfield & Gorrie has ranked in the top six general contractors every year for two decades. It most recently claimed the top spot in 2023.

“Healthcare was one of Brasfield & Gorrie’s earliest market sectors, and we’re honored that our clients continue to trust us to build these often life-saving projects,” said Regional Vice President and Division Manager Reed Weigle.

Brasfield & Gorrie landed at the top of the general contractor list with $2.7 billion in dollar volume for completed healthcare construction projects in 2024. The company built more than 5.9 million square feet of healthcare projects last year—more than double the year prior.
