When Brasfield & Gorrie opened our Orlando office in 1984, our Florida work quickly expanded into different regions of the state. In 1990, we began building in the Jacksonville area with Orlando employees overseeing that work. By the time we had landmark jobs like the Winn-Dixie Retail Support Center in our project pipeline, it was clear that we needed a local team to manage our growing portfolio in the Northeast Florida region.

Brasfield & Gorrie opened a permanent Jacksonville office in 2006—our second in Florida, making it the first state in our geographic imprint to feature multiple offices. Over the last two decades, we’ve performed work for clients ranging from the Jacksonville Jaguars and the University of Florida to Baptist Health and Ascension St. Vincent’s. Our portfolio continues to grow along the First Coast, with recent work including a master-planned senior living campus for Fleet Landing and recreation and club facilities for Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. By tapping into a variety of market sectors, we’ve grown to become one of the largest general contractors in the Jacksonville area, and our local workforce has grown to match that output. We now boast more than 150 employees between the Jacksonville office and our nearby jobsites. And when we’re not busy working on great projects, we give back to the community by organizing events such as our annual Cowford Invitational Golf Tournament to support organizations like the Ace Mentor Program of Northeast Florida.

In 2026, we rebranded the company map to organize our regions by geography, and our Florida Region is three offices strong with more portfolio growth on the horizon. Our commitment to the Sunshine State and the Jacksonville area is rooted in decades of successful projects, and we believe our best is yet to come.
