The Indoor Football Practice Facility consists of a full-sized synthetic turf field with an additional 10-yard drill area at the north end. The west elevation, which faces University of Florida’s two outdoor fields, consists of multiple large glass and solid overhead doors, along with large, box-framed translucent panel sections above the solid overhead doors, allowing the most natural lighting of the facility. The north end of the primary building houses space for trainers, a recruiting lounge, video crews, equipment storage, and an ice room. The interior of the practice field features a speaker system for game simulation, multiple clocks and scoreboards, and elevated camera platforms. Player safety was a priority in the facility: padding surrounds the perimeter of the field, and the goal posts are suspended from above.
The practice field and support areas are fully conditioned and fully lighted with LED fixtures. The field light fixtures are a new generation of fixture, the first installed anywhere in the country.
