Brasfield & Gorrie Completes Alabama Fertility Specialists Facility

Alabama Fertility Specialists recently celebrated the grand opening of its new, larger office. The facility is located at 3490 Independence Drive in Homewood. The practice is relocating from its previous space on U.S. 280.

Bouknight, Malizia and I had the vision of building a practice that provided our patients advanced fertility care with comfort and privacy,” said Dr. Mamie McLean, one of the owners of Alabama Fertility Specialists. “The teams at Williams Blackstock Architects, Brasfield & Gorrie and MedTech for Solutions worked diligently with us to bring this vision to life and not only met but exceeded our vision. The design includes a private clinical space, efficient work areas for our team, and the most advanced laboratory capabilities for our endocrine, andrology and embryology labs. We are excited to welcome patients to the building beginning today.”

Alabama Fertility Specialists is a 20,500 sq ft building that includes a new in vitro fertilization laboratory plus clinical and tenant space. In addition to its state-of-the-art labs, the clinic offers easy parking. The project included interior demolition and adaptive reuse of the single-story office building.
