Brasfield & Gorrie Begins Construction on Clemson University’s Memorial Stadium

General contractor Brasfield & Gorrie has started construction on Memorial Stadium renovations at Clemson University. In the first phase, the project will add premium seating and club spaces, upgrade the video board, and add accessible seating. In a future phase of the project, Brasfield & Gorrie will renovate the home team locker room and upgrade the Rogers Family parking lot.
The first phase of the project is scheduled to be complete before the 2022 football season. The videoboard will be among the largest in the nation, and will create greater visibility with the main campus and Scroll of Honor.

The university previously announced that Howard’s Rock and its pedestal have been moved to a secure location during construction. A portion of Williamson Road near Memorial Stadium has been reduced to one lane, and a portion will be closed entirely during the university’s winter break. When school resumes, traffic will return to a one-lane configuration until the project’s conclusion.
Brasfield & Gorrie has worked in South Carolina for nearly 40 years and has nearly $200 million of projects completed or underway in the Clemson area. The general contractor opened a full-service, brick and mortar office in Greenville in 2013 and has worked on nearly 200 projects in South Carolina.
