Upstate South Carolina Minimum and Recreational Flow

As one of the few of its kind nationwide, the in-river recreational whitewater area downstream from the Long Bypass Reach is a catalyst for economic development that benefits its surrounding area. To create this new feature, our team installed unique concrete structures to train and direct the water through a series of switchbacks and channels. Because this project was in and around a river with limited vehicular access, most of the work was performed either in the dry riverbed or via barges.
