Plant Wansley Limestone Unloading and Handling

After providing numerous additions to the Hal B. Wansley Power Plant in 2000, Brasfield & Gorrie was selected years later to design-build a limestone unloading and handling and reclaim system for the facility. The plant receives 6,000 tons of limestone by train every 2-3 days, and this new award-winning system conveys the limestone to one of two silos at a rate of 3,400 tons per hour to unload the trains in less than four hours.
