Orange County Northwest Regional Water Reclamation Facility Expansion

To comply with the latest nitrogen removal regulations, the Northwest Water Reclamation Facility needed to increase its nitrogen treatment capacity. The facility was upgraded to provide for a future annual average flow of 10.3 million gallons per day. The project team took a particularly innovative approach to the high-speed gearless turbo blowers, crafting a state-of-the-art installation featuring units that are significantly smaller and more energy efficient than traditional blowers.
