Brasfield & Gorrie Completes Fort Stewart Medical Clinic

Savannah, Ga.— Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC, recently completed the $10.1 million North Troop Medical Clinic for the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
The new, 39,000 sq ft clinic will provide physical therapy, primary physician care, pharmacy, radiology, behavioral health, optometry, and dental services to soldiers and their families at Fort Stewart.
The North Troop Medical Clinic is fully compliant with Unified Facilities Criteria 4-010-01, DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings. This facility also plans to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Silver certification. Sustainable features include natural landscaping, low-emitting paint and carpet materials, and energy-efficient lighting and mechanical systems.
On Wednesday, June 20, USACE celebrated the clinic’s grand opening. The clinic is the last completed facility in the $306 million 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team complex.
While constructing the facility, Brasfield & Gorrie earned the 2011 USACE Safety Award for three consecutive quarters. This honor is presented to a general contractor based on quality performance while upholding the highest safety standards on a construction project.
In addition to partnering with USACE, Brasfield & Gorrie worked with architect Wakefield Beasley & Associates on the design-build project.
