Brasfield & Gorrie and Selig Development Celebrate Topping Out at 1105 West Peachtree

January 8, 2021

The tallest of three towers rising concurrently at 1105 West Peachtree is topping out, announced Selig Development, the firm behind the $530 million mixed-use project in Midtown Atlanta. The 64-unit luxury condominium building, 40 West 12th, topped out in October 2020 following the Epicurean Atlanta hotel in August 2020. The Class A office tower is slated for a Fall 2021 completion.

Located on the corner of West Peachtree and 12th Street, the 31-story office building encompasses 675,000 square feet and offers wide-ranging, panoramic views of the Atlanta cityscape. Designed by prominent architecture firm Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio (RJTR), the building features an innovative and contemporary architectural styling, sporting a sleek glass facade and a 410-foot geometric steel exoskeleton that sets the tower apart from other high-rise buildings in Midtown. The exoskeleton will be set aglow by multicolor LED lights, which will act as a functional art piece amid Atlanta’s densifying skyline.

“With three towers rising simultaneously, 1105 West Peachtree is a logistically complicated job,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Vice President and Division Manager Drew Kelley. Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor on the project. “By self-performing the concrete structure, we gained superior control over schedule, cost, quality and safety. This was especially helpful for maintaining the construction schedule during a particularly challenging time. We’re grateful for our ongoing partnership with Selig Enterprises, which has played a vital role in developing Midtown Atlanta.”
