The College of Education and Behavioral Science was the first building constructed on Middle Tennessee State University’s new campus lawn. This 86,700 sq ft building houses the Dean’s administrative space, faculty offices, general classrooms, a tiered lecture hall, computer laboratories, teaching (dry) laboratories, and a student lounge and lobby. The classrooms and auditorium are equipped with high-tech audio/visual components, including smart boards, lighting controls, and motorized window shade controls. The common areas of the building are well-appointed with high-end finishes and fixtures. The main corridors and lobby areas feature epoxy terrazzo flooring, and the walls showcase interior limestone and brick. The main lobby boasts an eye-catching, three-story spiral staircase, creating a grand entrance to the new building. The prominently placed U-shaped building creates a scaled courtyard for the college.
