This seven-story, 271,649 sq ft vertical expansion added 115 beds to the campus and renovated 65,214 sq ft of interior space within multiple departments, including surgery, medical oncology, surgical oncology, stem cell, emergency, and cardiac diagnostics. The vertical expansion added 60 medical/surgical patient rooms and 32 ICU rooms as well as shell space for future growth. The 20,717 sq ft OR renovation included one lithotripsy and two cystoscopy procedure rooms and 10 operating rooms. Phasing the renovation allowed four ORs to be renovated and turned over before renovation of the remaining six began. The project team also renovated 39,398 sq ft across three floors of the South Tower, including a stem cell lab, nurses’ stations, and 55 patient rooms.
