The new 95,000 sq ft, two-story Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF) includes a hydraulics lab, water quality labs, field testing facilities, environmental chambers, a sensor innovation space, a warehouse, training labs, a network operations center, and administrative offices. The HIF provides hydrologic instrumentation and equipment services for the Water Resources Mission Area, which works nationally with partners to monitor, assess, conduct targeted research on, and deliver information for a wide range of water resources and conditions including streamflow, groundwater, water quality, and water use and availability. The HIF supports the water-resource monitoring and evaluation efforts of USGS scientists and other federal agencies by providing quality-assured hydrologic equipment and instrumentation.
JCCBG, an SBA-approved mentor-protégé joint venture, will be executing this project as a Brasfield & Gorrie joint venture with Jordon Construction Company.
