The Ft. Benning Equipment Concentration Site project consists of a 38,000 sq ft tactical equipment maintenance facility (TEMF), a 139,000 sq ft warehouse building including 6,400 sq ft of office area, and an equipment marshaling yard on a 42-acre site. The TEMF includes a vehicle maintenance garage equipped with maintenance pits, an oil and lubricant storage area, a high-capacity bridge crane to support maintenance operations, and an exhaust handling mechanism to enable the servicing of equipment during operation. The TEMF also includes an H2 hazard area and a vault for storing ammunition removed from tanks and other equipment during maintenance. The warehouse is equipped with high-bay storage racks for palletized materials and includes 6,400 sq ft of office and support space. Both buildings were constructed using conventional steel frames supported by cast-in-place concrete foundations. Each is clad in precast concrete wall panels.
