The El Paso Energy Land Based Test Facility was a temporary test facility that was capable of vaporizing liquefied natural gas (LNG) while the major process components were subjected to simulated shipboard motion. The motion platform was 110 by 14 feet, weighed approximately 300 tons, and was capable of pitch and roll motions while vaporizing natural gas.
Project components consisted of minor site work, foundations for the test skids and piping, electrical system installation, the installation of the booster pump skid, motion platform, gas heating skid, hydraulic pump skid, and waste circulating skids, and the demolition and restoration of the site.
