The El Paso Energy Land Based Test Facility was a temporary test facility that was capable of vaporizing liquefied natural gas (LNG) while the major process components were subjected to simulated shipboard motion. The motion platform was 110 by 14 feet, weighed approximately 300 tons, and was capable of pitch and roll motions while vaporizing natural gas.
