At 10,830 sq ft, the recently completed video board at Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare Stadium is currently the largest in college football.

Serving as construction manager, Brasfield & Gorrie completed the fast-track project in six months despite challenges and a scope that would typically require 10 months to complete. In addition to the tight time frame, safety and space were main concerns. A high-voltage power line ran through the center of the project site, requiring caution and limiting space for materials, equipment, and supplies. Redirecting traffic to supply lay-down room and employing a creative approach to scheduling overcame this challenge.

The design of the video board superstructure was critical in helping the team meet the accelerated timeline. Nearly 100 percent of the 700-ton steel frame was bolted together in the field, drastically reducing time-consuming field welding.

The team completed the project in time for the first home football game, a win for both Auburn University and for the Brasfield & Gorrie team.
