During a student rotation, you’ll become a true part of the team. The immersive experience, strong culture, and meaningful work will leave a lasting mark.

One of the best ways to find out if construction is the right path for you is by doing a co-op or internship.

Cooperative education program

Co-ops typically work three terms while they are in school. Students can work during spring, summer, or fall semesters. Co-op students are registered through their college or university and are typically earning a co-op diploma. Register with your school’s cooperative education office to express interest or to sign up for co-op interviews.

Internships

If your college or university doesn’t offer a co-op program, an internship is the way to go. Talk to your school’s career services center or your department advisor to find out when a Brasfield & Gorrie representative will visit your campus.

An internship is a one-term commitment. Co-ops are a three-term commitment and are coordinated through the cooperative education program at certain universities. Not all universities offer cooperative education programs, and in those cases, we provide internships. If your university offers a co-op program, we highly encourage you to apply.

We encourage students to complete internship or co-op rotations in the fall or spring. While we understand it is often convenient to work in the summer, fall and spring terms provide more time to gain experience and work one-on-one with your team.  Hear more about spring and fall rotations from students like you.

Yes! Roughly 80 percent of our entry level roles are filled by co-ops and interns who participated in our student program. Our student program is a priority. You’ll become a valued member of the team and take on meaningful responsibilities that can shape your career.

Yes! We welcome high school interns in our offices and on our jobsites. To work on a jobsite, you must be 17 years old.
