SouthEast Development Group shares vision for the Riverfront Jacksonville

June 1, 2021

Today, SouthEast Development Group announced its vision for the Riverfront Jacksonville, a multi-phased, mixed-use plan that will bring more than 2.3 million sq ft of new mixed-use programs to Downtown Jacksonville, Florida.

The $1.095 billion project financing team is led by Goldman Sachs and Piper Sandler & Co. Over a two-year research period, SouthEast Development Group collaborated with several of the world’s leading finance, architecture, design, planning, engineering and technology groups to curate the Riverfront Jacksonville master plan. The project team includes Gensler, Nelson Worldwide and SWA Group, leading the design program; Brasfield & Gorrie, Danis and Swinerton, managing construction; and ETM and THA Consulting to support engineering and planning.

“We congratulate Steve Atkins and his financing team at Goldman Sachs and Piper Sandler for their commitment to the redevelopment of this stretch of the river—the front door to Jacksonville. The Riverfront vision is an amazingly inclusive development opportunity that will bring people together in a world-class live, work and play environment,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Division Manager Erik Sharpe. “Brasfield & Gorrie has been building in Jacksonville since 1989. Our team’s strength is building complex, urban projects, which we have demonstrated in cities across the Southeast and beyond. We are honored to play a role on this team and continue contributing to Jacksonville—a place we call home.”
