May 19, 2023

A group of 13 people gather with the Arizona State University mascot, the sun devil. The group is standing in front of an Omni Tempe at ASU backdrop and behind a ribbon that's marked with the same logo.

The intersection of University Drive and Mill Avenue in Downtown Tempe just became the center of attention with the opening of Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU. The latest lifestyle hotel from Omni Hotels & Resorts recently welcomed its first guests, bringing the brand’s modern elegance and elevated experiences to the city while adding more than 300 guest rooms and a dynamic mix of restaurant, bar, and events spaces that will serve as a social hub for the community.

Design elements pull from Tempe’s cultural landscape, integrating ASU’s modern, industrial feel with the serenity of the Sonoran Desert. Each of the 330 guest rooms and 11 suites are steeped in earthy textures and urban comforts and nearly 36,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, including the largest ballroom in Tempe, set a new wave for conferences and events.

“Our teams have been honored to build projects for Omni Hotels & Resorts throughout the country, and the Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is no exception,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Vice President and Division Manager Brent Cash. Brasfield & Gorrie served as the project’s general contractor. “We’re passionate about building strong communities, and we’re thrilled to have played a role in this project, which will serve Arizona State University and Tempe’s revitalized downtown.”
