Brasfield & Gorrie Receives Accolades from National Construction Organization

General contractor receives eight national awards from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)

Birmingham, Ala. (March 23, 2018) – General contractor Brasfield & Gorrie received eight national awards from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) at their 28th annual Excellence in Construction awards banquet on March 21 in Long Beach, California. Brasfield & Gorrie was recognized for its work on projects in a variety of market sectors, including federal, senior living, aerospace and aviation, water, industrial, and commercial.
The company received five first-place Eagle awards and three second-place Pyramid awards.

“These outstanding projects are a result of the hard work of our employees, subcontractors, and business partners and their commitment to safety, quality, and integrity. We are also thankful for the relationships we have with our clients and for their continued trust in us,” said Brasfield & Gorrie CEO Jim Gorrie.

The five Brasfield & Gorrie projects recognized by ABC with first-place Eagle awards are 39 Dexter Mixed-Use in Montgomery, Alabama; Carolina Bay at Autumn Hall Continuing Care Retirement Community Main Campus in Wilmington, North Carolina; NASA Space Launch System Test Stands at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama; Southern Blanking Steel Processing Facility Phases I and II in Columbia, Tennessee; and Pizitz Building and Parking Deck Renovations in Birmingham, Alabama.

The three Brasfield & Gorrie projects recognized by ABC with second-place Pyramid awards are Owens, Statum and Wall Southeast Water Treatment Plant in Huntsville, Alabama; AvidXchange Headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina; and Bridgestone Tower in Nashville, Tennessee.
