Brasfield & Gorrie Completes Patient Wing Center

Holdrege, Neb.— On Saturday, February 18, a celebration was held to debut the new Phelps Memorial Center Patient Wing.

Speakers at Saturday’s event included U.S. Senator Mike Johanns; Phelps Memorial Center CEO Mark Harrel; Phelps Memorial Center Board of Directors Vice President Charlie Reeser; and Holdrege Mayor Rick Jeffrey.

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC, was the general contractor for the 25-bed patient wing and nursery addition. Johnson Johnson Crabtree Architects partnered with Brasfield & Gorrie’s Nashville office. The patient wing is the first completed phase of the project; the second phase of the project will begin on March 5. That phase will include renovations, a surgery suite addition, and a new central energy plant. The $16 million project, which will total 49,875 sq ft, is expected to be completed in December of this year.
