Brasfield & Gorrie Completes The District at Eastover

Contractor completes mixed-use urban revitalization development in Jackson

Jackson, Miss. (May 24, 2017) – Brasfield & Gorrie today announced that the company has completed its work on Phase II of The District at Eastover, a mixed-use urban revitalization development in the heart of Jackson, Mississippi.

Located on a highly visible 21-acre site off I-55 North, the development features retail, restaurant, office, hotel and residential spaces as well as a large, central green space. The development will bring premiere shopping, luxury living spaces, and more together in one pedestrian-friendly location.

Serving as general contractor, Brasfield & Gorrie teamed with Nelsen Architecture on this project for The District Land Development Company, LLC and its principals Breck Hines and Ted Duckworth. The 99,400 sq ft portion of the project included retail and office building shells as well as site work, hardscapes and landscaping.

In addition, Brasfield & Gorrie completed a three-story, 50,500 sq ft tenant build-out for BankPlus. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on May 17, 2017, to mark the opening of the BankPlus branch, which also includes office and meeting space.
