Brasfield & Gorrie Awarded Wallace Creek Complex

Camp Lejeune, N.C.— Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC., along with its joint venture partner, RQ Construction, of Carlsbad, Calif., have won the design-build contract for the Wallace Creek North Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) Complex at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

The $84-million, 225,000 sq ft project includes a five-story multi-wing BEQ complex, and will house up to 804 Marines in 402 living units. The complex will also feature a 650-car parking structure, ancillary structures, athletic courts, and associated site improvements and renovations.

The project will plan to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification, and will include notable sustainable features such as a 750 kilowatt photovoltaic array that will generate onsite renewable energy and geothermal heating and cooling systems for maximum energy efficiency.
