January 31, 2012

Fishers, Ind.— Brasfield & Gorrie. LLC was recently announced as the construction manager for the inpatient expansion of St. Vincent Medical Center Northeast.

The 126,870 sq ft, three-story expansion will include several medical and surgical patient rooms, labor and delivery rooms, administrative and dining/kitchen space. Renovation work on 6,000 sq ft will also be completed to the existing medical office building. The facility is aiming to achieve LEED for Healthcare Certification.

Through the expansion, St.Vincent will convert the existing outpatient facility into a 40-bed inpatient hospital focusing on wellness – women’s health and family health – for patients and families of Fishers, Noblesville and Geist communities. The Fishers-based facility will encompass 30 medical/surgical beds and 10 labor-delivery-recovery-postpartum rooms. Development plans also include spa-like amenities, indoor and outdoor dining, and convenient 24-hour room service for patients. The expansion is expected to be finished by March 2013.
