Brasfield & Gorrie Appoints Michael Byrd to Lead Charlotte Office

Charlotte, N.C. – Brasfield & Gorrie today announced that Vice President Michael Byrd has been appointed to oversee the company’s Charlotte office. Byrd is relocating from Brasfield & Gorrie’s Atlanta office, where he has gained more than 23 years of experience with the company.

“Michael’s exceptional leadership reflects our company’s core values and energizes teams,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Regional President Trey Sanders. “His emphasis on quality, his inherent integrity, and his passion for turning clients’ visions into reality make him a vital addition to our Charlotte leadership team.”

Brasfield & Gorrie has worked in the Charlotte market since 1999 and established a Charlotte office in 2011. In the region, the company has completed 70 projects valued at more than $408 million. Notable projects in the area include the Perimeter Woods Office Building I, an addition to the CaroMont Regional Medical Center Emergency Department and the Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center.

Currently, Brasfield & Gorrie is constructing a number of projects in Charlotte, including a build-out at the Regions Bank offices downtown and several projects at Carolinas HealthCare System, among others. The company recently completed the new AvidXchange office headquarters and will soon complete the 300-unit Solis Southline apartments.

Across the state, Brasfield & Gorrie’s work includes nearly 500 projects totaling $3 billion in value and representing 20 million sq ft of space. Some of the most notable projects include MetLife at Weston Lakefront in Cary, Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital North Tower in Greensboro, and the City of Raleigh Transit Operations Facility and Central Operations Facility in Raleigh. Additionally, the firm is constructing the new Mission Hospital for Advanced Medicine in Asheville.
