Brasfield & Gorrie Announces Completion of New Trussville Office and Manufacturing Facility

Construction completed ahead of schedule on new $4.9 million facility
Birmingham, Ala. (Dec. 18, 2013) – Brasfield & Gorrie today announced the completion of construction for a new office and manufacturing facility in Trussville, Ala.
The $4.9 million project includes 35,000 sq ft of office and manufacturing space that will be occupied by System Controls Inc. and Electric Machine Control Inc. The new structure is expected to provide both companies with approximately 30 percent more space for manufacturing purposes.
Serving as general contractor, Brasfield & Gorrie partnered with Gardner Architects on this project, which began in January 2013 and was completed two months ahead of schedule. Brasfield & Gorrie also self-performed key tasks such as sitework, storm drainage, concrete and the tilt-wall construction. A total of 55 concrete wall panels were formed, placed and cured on-site, and the panel erection was completed in only three days.
