Jeff Stone honored for outstanding accomplishments
Birmingham, Ala. (Feb. 17, 2014) — The State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame honored Brasfield & Gorrie Chief Operating Officer Jeff Stone for his significant contributions to the advancement of engineering and technology. Stone was inducted into the Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Feb. 15, 2014.
Founded in 1987, the State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame honors, preserves and perpetuates the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of individuals, projects and corporations/institutions that have brought and continue to bring significant recognition to the state of Alabama.
Stone has 34 years of construction experience with Brasfield & Gorrie and holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Auburn University. His experience includes 10 years of managing competitive bid and negotiated healthcare and commercial projects ranging up to $85 million. Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Stone was Manager of the Healthcare Division, Vice President of Operations and Regional President responsible for more than $900 million in projects. His initial work experience included service as an estimator and as assistant project manager.
