Willson Hospice House is a 31,400 sq ft acute care facility with 10,000 sq ft of administrative office space and 18 patient rooms featuring outdoor terraces. The facility is equipped with a commercial kitchen, sun room, music room, and abundant family living space. The slab-on-grade structure is wood framed, with wood roof trusses and a shingled roof. The exterior skin includes a mixture of stone, siding, and glass, evoking a visual effect of the building rising effortlessly out of its surroundings.

Willson Hospice House is accredited as an Audubon Silver Certified Sanctuary, the first healthcare facility in the world to receive this certification. The building is designed not only to achieve economic and environmental objectives but also to establish sustainable resource management practices that will be applied to the long-term stewardship of the property. Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture, the building invites the outdoors in with numerous large windows with open views and greenery, creating a serene environment for patients. The grounds offer walking trails for patients, their families, and the general public.
