One of the nation’s first hospitals to be conditioned solely by geothermal energy

WellStar Paulding Hospital is a replacement facility planned to include a seven-story, 295,700 sq ft hospital, a four-story, 82,220 sq ft medical office building (MOB) that will tie in to an existing MOB, and a 120,000 sq ft precast parking deck. Paulding Hospital, WellStar’s first replacement hospital, will benefit from numerous innovative techniques and technologies during construction. Paulding Hospital will be the first hospital in the country conditioned solely on geothermal energy.

The project team is focused on innovative management as well as construction and is using Latista and iPads to document site walks, organize meetings, and foster collaboration among the entire project team.

Paulding Hospital is Brasfield & Gorrie’s seventh OSHA Strategic Partnership Program project. This voluntary program seeks to reduce and eliminate work-related injuries and illnesses through a wide array of initiatives to control workplace hazards, increase safety and health systems, and increase the number of trained employees.
