The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Drug Discovery Laboratory is a 15,950 sq ft shell build-out in the existing life sciences office building. The project included approximately 10,000 sq ft of laboratory space and 5,000 sq ft of office space. The laboratory space includes 25 fume hoods, approximately 1,200 sq ft of mass spec labs, chemical and solvent storage, and a tissue culture room with three biosafety cabinets. The space features open-to-deck floating cloud ceilings with painted exposed ductwork and piping. The mechanical system includes 102 fully commissioned Triatek exhaust and supply air valves, a 400-ton air-cooled chiller, a 52,000 CFM air-handling unit, and a lab exhaust unit with three 23,000 CFM exhaust fans.
