Marcus Tower at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital
874,000 sq ft
The Marcus Tower at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is a 16-story, 874,000 sq ft tower addition to the existing hospital in Midtown Atlanta. The project includes construction of three levels of underground parking, creation of a pedestrian-level plaza, and renovation of the vacated space in the existing hospital. The tower includes 408 private rooms, 12 catheterization and electrophysiology suites, and 10 cardiovascular operating rooms. The ORs have video recording capacity, allowing physicians in training worldwide to learn from the experts at Piedmont. The tower is home to the Piedmont Heart Institute, which has one of two heart transplant programs in Georgia and is a top destination for cardiovascular care. The facility houses the new Marcus Heart and Vascular Center and the Samsky Invasive Cardiovascular Services Center.
